Finding Your Inner Guru

~~After listening to many, many leaders in Empower Network this week and last week as well, I am coming to realize that these individuals are really not that different from me at all.  The only difference is that they have tapped into their "inner guru" and taken action ... but not just action.  They have changed their mindset to suit their financial goals.  Like Dave Wood said, it was when he realized that there are people out there with money and, perhaps unknowingly at that moment, discovered that it is just as easy to sell a 5 dollar program many levels down as it is to sell high-ticket products at 500.00 to 3500.00.  Better yet, again, realizing that there are people out there with money who see the value in the products, it is no coincidence that Empower Network has grossed 70 million in the last 24 months.
Too many play too safe with no risk; isn't it possible to take risk in your mind without opening your wallet?  Do we dare to dream?  Not many do.  Too many are either playing lottery ticket-mentality marketing or refuse to dream at all and stay at safe levels of risk, sheltering themselves, from themselves.
The dare-to-dream lottery-ticket mentality lives in the subconscious mind and is working daily to shape your dreams, your goals, and your actions.  Every day, we need to dream big, think big, and not get stuck in a rut of - I can't do this; I don't have enough money; I am not going to get any sign-ups; this is a waste of time.  Re-shaping how you think and the kinds of thoughts you let go through your mind will change you into a 4-figure learner, a 5-figure learner, a 6-figure learner, and a 7-figure learner.
Instead of finding ways to delay your success, growth, and development, why not think 'how can I.'  Repeat that one in your mind 100 times a day and see how easy and undaunting the thought of making money online gets.
Making money online!  You need to start from what you have .. NOT WHAT YOU THINK YOU SHOULD AND DON'T!
You should dare to dream, and escape from the negative, just long enough to imagine yourself there, starting at a good 4-figure a month residual income.  Give yourself an ounce of financial freedom, even quietly in your own mind's thoughts.
Without understanding this very simple technique, I see many looking at every shiny little program that exists on the net, looking to it to market itself, funnel itself, and pay, pay, pay!
This brings to me a very deep, much deeper understanding of the Daves' mission with EN, to empower people, and to empower people to be themselves, essentially tapping into one's inner guru.
In our webinar, Aaron Raskin said one thing that really will always stand out in my mind and, as I feel my financial landscape change from a barren to lush, especially when thinking of money as an idea, as he mentioned, but did not have time to go into detail, his very words shape me:  Forget being a 7-figure income earner, but become a 7-figure income LEARNER.
Chris Record's words also echo in my mind, when he said he asked himself over and over again, how can I, how can I, how can I.
In the learning curve, somewhere, I think people get confused, overwhelmed, but never take a step back to take a breather.  That is why I think is it especially VALUEABLE to belong to a community with a vision of passion, compassion, support, tools, and training, just how Dave Wood describes EN, a community .. we all belong .. we stay plugged in daily ... we get strong, grow, evolve, change, create, and earn ... we are one big team fighting the "forces of evil."

~~Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world doesn't care about yourself-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters.. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Don’t Put it Off

~~Isn’t it interesting how easy it is to put things off? We plan on doing something. We have good intentions. We want to do it, but we just think we’ll get to it later. “One day I’m going to start exercising. One day I’m going to get my finances in order. One day I’m going to forgive that person who hurt me.” The problem with this kind of thinking is that “one day” never comes. There will always be some reason to keep delaying it.
Is there something in your heart that you know you need to do? Maybe God has been dealing with you, and you keep putting it off. You think, “As soon as I get through this busy season, then I’ll spend more time with my family. As soon as the price of gas goes down, then I’ll start tithing my income. As soon as my child gets out of diapers, then I’m going to get my family back in church.” The problem is that good intentions don’t equal obedience. The quicker you do what you feel down in your spirit, the happier you’re going to be. Don’t let unfinished business keep you from God’s best. Step out. Obey His voice and walk in the blessing He has for you!

The End of Your Drought

Every person goes through times of drought, or dry seasons, when we don’t see the changes we hoped for. We’ve got big dreams, we’re standing on God’s promises, but things stay the same. It’s dry and barren. Maybe you are blessed in one area and in a drought in another. It’s easy to think, “This is the way it’s always going to be. I’ll always have this struggle.” No, in 2014 that drought is coming to an end. Any area of brokenness, dryness, loneliness, every empty place, if you will stay in faith, God is going to rain down favor, healing, and restoration.

We declare that this year, you are going to see an abundance of rain! Every drought is only temporary. That dry season is not going to last forever. Struggle and lack is not your destiny. It’s temporary. Rain is headed your way! Declare it by faith, “Father, thank You that the drought is ending and the rain is coming; and in 2014, I will see an abundance of Your goodness in my life!”
